Kriyayoga – akin to aeroplane travel to Soul-Realization

Q:You had stated that Kriyayoga is the supreme. Then the other religions or smaller traditions who believe in God, cannot they attain Him?

Dr.Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee: Several religions or several traditions certainly believe in God. All these religions or traditions are based on faith. At present one’s faith is centered on a particular sect, later faith changes and is centered on another sect. This faith is dependent on the kinetic mind, hence is transitory. This faith is impermanent. Consequently through this faith man will purify himself through several births and eventually enter the path of Karmayoga, then only will he attain conversance about Prana-dharma or soul-religion and fulfill his human life. In this manner the various sects whether big or small facilitate human reformation but the ultimate fulfilment of human life cannot be imparted by them. This is because amongst these sects the influence of soul-knowledge is almost absent. Salvation only is the truth. Attainment of salvation annihilates the various afflictions and miseries of humans and transcends the birth-death cycle.

If anyone desires to travel to a distant country then he can travel in a bullock-cart or car or aeroplane. Aeroplane is a remarkable invention of man. Bullock cart travel denotes transcending several births, car travel infers traversing few births, but aeroplane being speedier lessens the period to one or two days. Yoga path akin to the aeroplane reaches all to their state of origin but the sects possess the motion of the bullock-cart.

Q:Are you inferring the smaller religions to be bullock-carts?

Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee: You have misunderstood the basic concept. The objective to belittle any particular religion is absent. This is merely an example which has been cited for better comprehension.
