Apart from reading the book “Purana Purusha” the consent of Gurudeva Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee or His Guru-Desgnate is a must. Being an esoteric science, Kriyayoga cannot be practised in the open. Hence arrangement has to be made for a separate room for the practice of Kriya, although the room need not be dedicated to Kriya alone and during non-practising hours can be utilized for other purposes also. For further information please contact us.

Kriyayoga being a Gurumukhi Vidya initiation is always imparted directly by Gurudeva to the disciple. Therefore the disciple is required to be physically present during the time of initiation. Initiation and subsequently the Kriyayoga techniques that are taught in the Centre are strictly in accordance to what was imparted by Yogiraj Sri Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahasaya in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara.

There is no definitive timeline for this. It is completely dependant upon the disciple’s ability to grasp this abstruse science and practice Kriya sincerely abiding by the instructions of the Guru.

It is the same Prana that inheres in the entire creation and Kriyayoga is the worship of this Prana, hence there is no such discrimination. Infact married couples are encouraged to take initiation together although it is not a mandate. However, children below a certain age are not considered for initiation since a certain level of maturity is expected to practise Kriyayoga which is extremely subtle and esoteric in nature.

This has to be discussed and permission sought from Gurudeva Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee or His Guru-Desgnate.
