Yogiraj Shyamacharan Lahiree Mahasaya Himself has marked His Advent to propagate the word of Kriyayoga amongst the masses. Therefore He deliberately delineated His innumerable realizations in His 26 confidential diaries to serve as a critical and invaluable guide to future mankind and the most profound of them being:
I ONLY AM KRISHNA; I ONLY AM MAHADEVA; I ONLY AM THE QUADRUMANOUS NARAYANA; I ONLY AM THE MAHAPURUSHA PURUSHOTTAMA (SUPREME BEING); I ONLY AM THE PRIMORDIAL MALE ENERGY; THERE IS NONE BARRING ME; I ONLY AM THE IMPERISHABLE BEING; I ONLY AM ATMASURYA- NARAYANA BHAGAVANA JAGADISHVARA, UBIQUITOUSLY I ONLY EXIST; THE WORLD HAS EMANATED FROM MY FORM ONLY; SANS ME NOTHING EXISTS; I ONLY AM OMNIPOTENT; I CAN EXECUTE ANYTHING I WILL; I ONLY AM THE PRIMORDIAL BEING GOD; I AM GOD; I AM AMORPHOUS BRAHMA.
Yogiraj Himself instituted its practice in His own life because if He did not practise it, why will humans practise it? Being God, the Supreme Soul Himself, He extended this to set an example to mankind.
Yogiraj Sri Shyamacharan Lahiree Mahasaya is the Fountain-Head of Kriyayoga, a great Household-Yogi the world has ever known. This remarkable unparalled juxtaposition of family life with sadhana cannot be noticed in thousands of years. Amidst all these He reached the pinnacle of sadhana within four years. He did not propound the life of a celibate or an ascetic because this was not normal. All these mortal affections He caused to plague Him, so that the common man abides by His example and practises sadhana simultaneously with social, official and family responsibilities. That mankind like Him should not be weighed down like Him with sorrows, upheavals and tempest of everyday life which was possible only if this eternal sadhana emanating from eternity was regularly practised is His Divine ideal. He was a firm believer of adage ‘Practise what you preach’.
He has stated – ‘Kriya is the truth, Kriya is the oblation and chanting of the Vedas, practising Kriya will confer welfare’. Implying those who have become averse to material gains will practise this truth. This is the path which teaches man the process how to attain salvation.
Prana being essentially still on attaining vibrations succumbs to earthly attachments. Yogiraj has stated ‘All objects of the material world is very appealing but the net consequence is bitter’. How true is this if we consider man to be a victim of consumerism and modernism. When crass consumerism, materialism, all the isms will die a natural death, which they will soon; that ‘water of the river and shade of the tree is and always will be there for you’; hinting at the ecological imbalance of today for which man is wholly responsible and which was known to Him; that ‘why are you so weak willed to become a yogi?’ for then the truth will dawn ‘money never imparted, imparts or will impart happiness’.
Sunset symbolises the gradual decline of sun beneath the horizon and sunrise the gradual ascent of the sun above the horizon. Similarly essentially spiritually thirsty man suffering degeneration having declined beneath the horizons of knowledge, now will gradually ascend above the horizon of ignorance and be enlightened with ‘none is a sinner or a saint’, ‘none is ignoble only it is the mind which is ignoble’, and can be at one with ‘I see ignobility amidst nobility and nobility amidst ignobility’
