All the Apophthegms of Yogiraj the Fountain-Head of Kriyayoga have been divulged to mankind through the sole endeavour of most honourable Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee.
It is solely he alone who has undertaken the stupendous task of promulgating the tenets of Yogiraj through literature and through establishing a world platform.
Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee has penned several books, articles, poems delineating the subtle philosophy of man hence the universe. Some of his books, articles, poems have been translated in over nine Indian languages like Hindi, Oriya, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Marathi. Assamese and Malayalam are awaiting publication.
i) Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee’s first book in Bangla ‘PRANAMAYAM JAGAT’ was first published in June 1979- This book has been published in Telugu and in Hindi also. It graphically expounds about the sole cause and origin of the universe. The book is simple language explains the concept of Prana, it’s all- pervasiveness and it’s inextricability. This book is a must for all beginners who aspire to glean knowledge about Kriya yoga.
ii) His second book ‘PURANA PURUSHA YOGIRAJ SRI SHAMA CHURN LAHIREE’ – first Bangla edition was published in July 1981. This book is a remarkable blend of literature and philosophy based on the life of Yogiraj Sri Shama Churn Lahiree Mahasaya, Fountain- Head of Kriyayoga. The book is a biography based on the ideals of Yogiraj and tenets of Kriyayoga. The authenticity of this biography lies in the preface where Satyacharan Lahiri Mahasaya grandson of Yogiraj Shama Churn Lahiree Mahasaya, commands his disciples the author, Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee who was then an elevated Kriyaban having meticulously and assiduously completed the higher stage of Kriya to write the biography. He had furnished many details regarding his Grandfather Shama Churn Lahiree to the author who has judiciously incorporated these into the book. This book has had a mass appeal throughout India and abroad. This is proved by the fact that this book has been translated and published in Telugu, Oriya, Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati and French. The English version of this book has been published in January 31, 2000. Tamil has already been published, Malayalam and Assamese translations are awaiting publication. The French edition of this book was published in France in May 1997. The book ‘PURANA PURUSHA’ is a book of the millenium.
iii) Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee’s third book ‘SHAMACHURN KRIYAYOGA & ADVAITABAD’ (Bangla) was first published in August 15, 1985. This book has been published in Hindi and Marathi. The English version is awaiting publication. This book details in dexterous prose the inevitability of the concept of non- duality. 100 important declarations out of the many made by Shama Churn have been dexterously culled and in lucid prose the intricacies of the essences latent in these quotations have been delivered. This book indirectly guides the reader to develop a longing for Kriyayoga.
iv) Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee’s fourth book ‘YOGAPRABANDHE BHARATATMA’– its first Bangla edition was published in 27.1.93. It is a compilation of 18 articles delineating the history, philosopby, yoga- essence of eternal Bharata and the avaricious play of the human mind. Man a victim of the gross sensory dispositions on reading this book will sit back and ponder; will endeavour to annihilate the grossness within him in gradual degrees; will realize the root of all sorrows and even if he succeeds a fraction of this, can aspire for a better tomorrow.
v) His fifth book ‘KE EI SHAMACHURN’ – first Bangla edition has been published in October 2; 1995. It has been translated and published in Hindi and English. This book is a brilliant analysis of the Fountain-Head of Kriyayoga. Shamachurn with a blend of dharmaic history, philosophy, science, culture and tradition of eternal Bharata. All these factors have been harmoniously fused and the essence derived thus is soul-knowledge, gleaning which man can steer his life’s course in the right direction and thus benefit. That Bhagavan Krishna and Bhagavan Shama Churn are One and the same Esse, has been authenticated in this book by matching the horoscopes of Bhagavan Shama Churn. Bhagavan Krishna of Dvaparyuga marked His Advent as Shama Churn in Kaliyuga. The three books ‘PURANA PURUSHA,’ ‘SHAMACHURN KRIYA YOGA AND ADVAITABAD’ and ‘KE EI SHAMACHURN’ form the trilogy on the essence of eternal Bharata.
vi) His sixth book ‘SATYALOKE SATYACHARAN’-It’s first Bangla edition was published on 1.1.89. This book in lucid prose underlies the benefit yoga-philosophy can confer to humanity. The beauty of this book lies in the intimacy of the Guru-disciple relationship which has been highlighted in this book. This biography details the life of Satyacharan Lahiri, grandson of Yogiraj. Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee his foremost disciple and delineates in this book his Gurudeva’s love and faith he reposed in Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee. Its English edition has already been published.
vii) Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee’s seventh work in Bangla ‘YOGIRAJ SHAMACHURN GRANTHAVALI’ is a compilation of the annotations of the 26 sastras by Yogiraj Shyamacharan Lahiri in 5 Bengali volumes. Volume 1 First edition published on January 1, 1985. Volume 2 First edition published on Febuary, 1985. Volume 3 First edition published on August 25, 1985. Volume 4 First edition published on May 12, 1986. Volume 5 First edition published on January 1, 1990.
These five volumes also justify the importance of yoga in our lives enriched with pithy sayings of munis, rishis through aeons. Reading the annotations of the 26 sastras results in an ennobling experience, and makes the reader realize the importance of the pithy sayings of the Indian sages in our lives.

ix) Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee’s book on poems named “PRANER KATHA” has been published on January 2002. This book contains 70 poems. Each of them strikes the inner recesses of the human heart. They are an appeal to mankind not to head for the abysmal depths of degeneration. His poems are poignant possessing a coherence and compactness in ideas. Reading them tugs at one’s heart strings. The readers can be at one with the poems. Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee’s simplicity of thoughts, lucidity of expression have generated a wide acceptance amongst his readers.

It is Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee only who has to human knowledge unfolded and harmoniously blended the chapter of dharma and history. The temple will become history of spiritualdom, the true spiritual essence. Till date humanity knew Yogiraj to be a Mahapurusha or Mahayogi. But Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee is the Kriyayoga Preceptor in the world who has unraveled the abstruse esotericism of Yogiraj thereby revealing the truth ‘who He is’. Though Yogiraj has detailed His sadhana realisations hence Divine Apophthegms in His confidential diaries, the onus porbandi and making this accessible and comprehensible to the masses was undertaken by none other than Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee. It is he only who has established that Yogiraj is Krishna. He only is Mahadeva; He only is the Quadrumanous Narayana; He only is Mahapurusha Purushottama (Supreme Being); He only is the Primordial Male Energy; there is none barring Him; He is the only Imperishable Being; He only is Atmasurya Narayana Bhagavan Jagadisvara; He is Omnipresent; the world has emanated from His Form only; barring Him nothing exists; He only is Omnipresent. He can execute anything He wills; He only is Amorphous Brahma; He only is the Primordial Being Bhagavan; He is God; that Kutastha and Shamachurn are equal, for visualising Kutastha entails realisation of the Almighty Yogiraj that Yogiraj is the Fountain- Head of Kriyayoga; that His Kriya is dharma and it’s practice only will result in salvation; that he is the Redeemer and the Saviour. Thus Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee is awakening Yogiraj-consciousness to the masses for mankind will soon bow their heads in obeisance thereby realising Him to be the only truth and Kriyayoga to be the universal panacea for all ills.
None before has been able to establish Shamachurn in this manner. It is being noticed that while mention about Yogiraj is made, the term ‘Late’ Shamachurn Lahiree and consequently past tense ‘was’ are being used. Both are inapplicable and it is not proper to ascribe Yogiraj with these terms as they do not conform to the One Who is Eternal and Omnipresent. Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Chatterjee’s objective was not to promote the name and fame of Yogiraj Sri Shamachurn Lahiree but to establish that He only is God and that we must make the quest for Him by practising His sadhana by which salvation, man’s ultimate destiny is inevitable. Only he has laid this bare.
Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee is a renowned yogi and has selflessly devoted himself for the cause of enlightening mankind for a yogi of his stature is magnanimous i.e. reorient fallen mankind towards the intrinsic concept of Yogiraj hence Kriyayoga. In other words his objective is to make everyone acquire realisation of that One. He has executed this through the literary medium which will reach every household and gradually awaken consiousness to posterity about Brahmavidya and yogasastra which is the backbone of Sanatana Dharma. It needs mention here that he is not apotheosis-oriented himself. He has authored several books, poems, detailing the life, ideals, precepts, sadhana realisations of Yogiraj and expounded the innate significance of Prana, dharma and God concept.
He has expatiated on Prana that Prana is dharma; that the whole universe from the highest creation— Human being to the lowest creation—worm, everything animate-inanimate are bound by Prana, that if Prana who inheres in the body-temple is nursed Universal Love will prevail and eternal peace be reinstated. He himself is the fount of love thus the revelation of truth. He has tersely remarked– God is not an object Who has descended from the sky. This is Still State of Prana. It is he only who has ascribed Yogiraj to be ‘Purana Purusha (Primordial Being) and ‘God of householders’.
He has divulged the instrinic essence of dharmaic history (religious history) through his wrtings, discourses and statements that in the past just as sage Valmiki gifted humanity by expounding on Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra; just as the sage Vyasdeva imparted infinite storehouse of knowledge to mankind by expounding on Lord Krishma through Mahabharat, Gita; this analogous continuum is established in Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee who gifted humanity with the true Esse of Bhagavan Krishna-Shamachurn; Bhagavan Mahadeva Shamachurn; Bhagavan Quadruamanous Narayana Shamachurn; Imperishable Being Bhagavan Shamachurn; Ubiquitous Bhagavan Shamachurn; Amorphous Brahma Shamachurn, Narayana Shamachurn; Imperishable Being Bhagavan Shamachurn; Ubiquitous Bhagavan Shamachurn; Amorphous Brahma Shamachurn.
Abstruse esotery has been transformed into lucid comprehension. Reading Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Chatterjee’s literature does not confound man instead makes him realise the rationality hence the science of humanlife; disturbed frustrated man no longer gropes in the dark, instead he finds the missing link-the key which was so long lost is now found, to unfold the bounteous wealth latent in man-the door to the unfathomable depths of knowledge and science; the royal avenue on which humanity can tread fearlessly, unlocking the vistas of happiness and peace.
Significant Contribution to Society
He has meticulously researched on the science of Sanatana yoga. His expatiation on the yuga cycle and “SAMBHAVAMI YUGE YUGE” is inimitable which has been explained in the introduction.
Mahamahopadhyaya Yogacharya Dr. Ashoke Kumar Chatterjee has portrayed the immortal Sublime Avenue to millions seeking salvation through initiation. He has in ways more than one endeavoured to prevent mankind from waning thus attain yoga realisation of Yogiraj. His objective is not to make man any more deflect but to reorient and bind them towards the infallible intrinsic Kriyayoga Avenue. He has given declining Kriyayoga a push. He has executed all this in his own inimitable way and humanity will remain ever grateful to him for his invaluable conferment upon them. His objective to usher humanity into the zenith of Satyayuga (Golden Age) when all dichotonies, tension, discord will cease and halcyon days be reinstated will soon be effected.
He states:- India and yoga are inextricable. Both are complementary to each other. Bharata without yoga and yoga sans Bharata cannot be thought off.
Braham from Brahma to Jiva is retrogression in a yogi.<br> Atma <br>Prana <br> Jivana<br> Jiva from – Jiva to Brahma is progression in a yogi.
This is the cycle for an aspirant yogi to transform himself into God; enter the state of non-duality; attain Brahma – mergence and every human being at one point of time will inevitably have to go through this cycle through yoga whether he wishes it or not.
A severe upheaval/ turmoil is imminent as maximum bad does take place before maximum good. Shamachurn came as a Brahmin to lead the world into the full influence of Satyayuga when almost every individual will practise Brahmasadhana and attain mergence in Brahma.
Satayuga tenure is for 50,000 years; Tretayuga is for 30,000 years, Dvapara is 15,000 years and Kali is for 5000 years. At the same time the range for Shamachurn is 80,000; Krishna 15,000 and Rama 5000. This is why Shamachurn is a fair Brahmin ushering total humanity into the reinstatement of halcyon days when the lion will lie down with the lamb and a bright peaceful tomorrow will ensue. During this period almost 100% of humanity will be engrossed in Atmakarma/ Atmasadhana/ Brahmasadhana/ Kriyayoya flowing through aeons and practised by munis and rishis since aeons.
